This year's race at Hungary saw a winner that combined a unconventional strategy with excellent driving skills. Being the only front runner to do so, Oliver Roberts opted for a three-stop race and drove the entire GP on D compounds. This payed off well, considering that he built his lead over Digitech team mate Michal Janak during the early part of the race when Michal was driving on C compounds. After half of the race, Michal, as well as Jan Svehlik, was able to drive about the same times like Oliver at the front, but this wasn't enough to catch him.

Despite things being straight at the front early, the race proved to be entertaining, mainly because of the that finish on 4th and below. About 6 drivers were in reach for this position until the last couple of pit stops in lap 59 let the gaps grow. But the battle for 7th stayed thrilling to the very end, when Axel Bruns claimed that position just .6 of a second in front of Marco Saupe.

With his third win of the season, Oliver is closing the gap to Michal in the standings slightly again, while Digitech scored maximum points in the race once more.
